Classical Acupuncture with Body-Feedback Techniques

Customized Healing to Meet Your Needs

The Acupuncture Meridian System

Acupuncture is the oldest continually practiced form of healthcare in the world. Written texts on this practice date back to 300 B.C.E. Michelle Meramour practices a centuries-old acupuncture style combined with her own Body‐Feedback system to identify organ weakness and acupuncture meridian imbalances. Michelle looks for discomfort, tightness, and weakness at key points.  These act as testing areas for inflammation, pathogenic heat, organ dysfunction, and meridian discord. She assesses muscle tone for tightness, weakness, spasms, and atrophy to identify the organs and meridians to treat. The Body-Feedback acupuncture system uses essential oils, classical acupuncture point prescriptions, supplements, Chinese herbs, and nutrition to achieve healing goals. Michelle’s approach is systematic and provides long‐lasting results when combined with lifestyle changes.

WHO Approved

The World Health Organization (WHO) approved acupuncture for the treatment of over 100 conditions. The approvals were based on feedback from controlled clinical studies and information gathered from Asian and European countries. The WHO assessed this treatment approach’s effectiveness because of the overwhelming acceptance of acupuncture in these regions of the world. North American countries have been the last of the first-world nations to incorporate these natural treatment approaches into their healthcare systems.

What to Expect

Michelle Meramour works with you during the acupuncture sessions —your body will guide her in determining which systems need the most attention. With your body’s help, she can identify genetic or constitutional organ dysfunction and meridian imbalances affecting several areas at once. What might seem like unrelated symptoms to you often are clues Michelle uses in her diagnosis and treatment.

Michelle begins each Body-Feedback acupuncture session by identifying challenged testing locations. Then she tests a combination of acupuncture points, essential oils, nutritional supplements, or Chinese herbs based on those areas. She determines which combination best corrects the organ dysfunctions and meridian imbalances by assessing the changes in body-feedback testing locations. In combination with your symptoms, this feedback gives Michelle information to create an easily understandable picture of what is occurring with your health.

Even before Michelle inserts the last needle, you can feel significant shifts in your body. This is how you know the treatment is successful. You then rest with the needles for 15-30 minutes, depending on the treatment approach and the number of points used during the session. Michelle will incorporate cupping or gua sha therapy, electro-stimulation of the needles, or stretching techniques if needed.

At the end of your Body-Feedback acupuncture session, you can feel both immediate results and improvements over the next few days to a few weeks, depending on your lifestyle and general health. New clients find scheduling a Body-Feedback acupuncture session every one to two weeks helpful. Long-term clients typically enjoy monthly or seasonal tune-ups to keep their body in a state of optimal health.
